2. Subject Databases

  • Is your topic in a particular subject area?

If so, use a subject database. Subject databases specialize in a particular subject, and the articles indexed are generally from scholarly sources. Examples of subject databases and the kinds of articles they identify are:

Business Source Premier

Indexes articles in business-related subjects such as management, finance, and advertising; lots of full text!
Education Full Text
Indexes articles in education; lots of full text!
Agricola
Indexes articles in veterinary medicine and agriculture; no full text
