Ways to Search in the Library Catalog

There are several options for searching the Library Catalog:

Type of Search What It Does
Keyword Search Searches for items in several fields
(title, author, subject, notes)
Exact Title Search Searches for an item by title
Author Search Searches for material by author
Subject Search Searches for items using specific Library of Congress subject headings
Reserve Lists Searches for materials placed on reserve by an instructor
View Your Own Record Allows you to see a list of items you have checked out and to renew items
